Unmasked is seeking to raise £10,000 through Crowdfunder to expand its vital support services for neurodivergent individuals, helping them navigate mental health, parenting, and life challenges.

The funds raised will be used to run weekly group sessions that focus on improving mental health, providing parenting support, and offering  much needed Counselling to members of the neurodivergent community. These sessions aim to create a safe, inclusive space where participants can discuss their challenges, build new skills, and gain access to crucial resources tailored to their needs.

What sets Unmasked apart is its dedication to creating long-lasting change within the community.

Unlike other services, our support groups and Counselling sessions are led by trained neurodivergent counsellors who truly understand the experiences of the people they are helping. The impact of this project will be profound: reducing social isolation, boosting confidence, and helping participants build sustainable futures through better mental health, improved education around Neurodivergence, and a support network.

Toni and Sarah, both founders of Unmasked, were inspired to create this project after their own late diagnoses of neurodivergence. Like Toni, Sarah also faced significant challenges when navigating her diagnosis later in life, realising how little support there was for neurodivergent individuals and their families. Both women experienced firsthand the frustration of trying to find resources, guidance, and understanding in a system that often left people feeling isolated.

Together, they launched Unmasked to provide the type of community and support that they wished had been available to them. ‘As neurodivergent individuals ourselves, we know how overwhelming it can be to go through this journey alone,’ said Toni. ‘Through Unmasked, we’re not just offering counselling and support—we’re creating a community where people can connect, share their experiences, and feel truly understood.’

Unmasked is offering special recognition to backers by featuring their names on our exclusive ‘Wall of Supporters.’ This wall will be displayed both digitally on our website and physically in our new community space, honouring those who help make our vital services possible. By contributing, you’re not just funding a project—you’re becoming a permanent part of a community that’s transforming lives.
