Forum Central is member-led.

We bring people together to:
Network at our events and network meetings for our members.
Champion the third sector and embed the sector as an equal partner in the delivery of health and care services.
Promote the third sector and provide a ‘one stop shop’ for key health and care information.

Who can join?

Membership is open to all non-profit, voluntary, community, faith based and social enterprise organisations that support health and wellbeing or deliver health and social care services in Leeds.

Forum Central is delivered in partnership by two registered charities, Volition and Leeds Older People’s Forum. When you become a member, you are technically a member of one of these organisations, and Forum Central membership is made up of both organisation’s members. By joining either organisation you will welcomed as a Forum Central member.

If your organisation’s focus is on any of the following:
Mental health
Physical and Sensory Impairment
Learning disabilities
Health and care in its wider sense

Join via Volition (Charity no. 1092126).

If your organisation’s main focus is on older people, join via Leeds Older People’s Forum (Charity no. 1191030) by contacting info@opforum.org.uk.

We welcome applications from small or non-constituted groups working in the sector.

Benefits of becoming a member

Be informed – We share sector wide news including strategic developments, specialist updates, partnership working and funding opportunities. We promote our members’ news and events through our website, e-bulletin and on social media.
Be connected – We bring people together, share information, and create networking opportunities, by hosting regular meetings where you can build relationships and discuss topics of shared interest. We coordinate representation to influence strategic developments, policy and ways of working across health and social care which have an impact on the communities you work with.
Be visible – We are proud of the vibrant third sector in Leeds and will shout about your work. Being a Forum Central member helps you to share the voice of the people you support, including the least heard. We can help to promote your organisation and its services.

What our members say

I find the Forum Central meetings invaluable.
They are a great source of information and an opportunity to connect with other organisations. There is so much going on in the third sector in the City and it is difficult to keep up with everything but these meetings pull the relevant information together and connect the relevant people. Highly recommend!
Gill, Phoenix Health & Wellbeing
I also want to take this opportunity to say how fantastic it has been working with you.
Throughout the mental health transformation you’ve worked hard to ensure ours and more importantly our communities voices have been heard.
Sophie Peel, Hamara
