Important Refugee E-Visa Registration Deadline

Everyone who has a right to remain in the UK who doesn’t have British or Irish Citizenship, needs to register for an eVisa online before 31 December 2024. E-Visas will replace all Biometric Residency Permits (BRPs) and related documents.

Visit the Migration Partnership website for details and signposting to support

To get an evisa, people will need access to the internet to create a UKVI account, and then download and use the UK immigration ID check app.

If anyone is having difficulties with registration, St Vincents’ Support Centre, Refugee Employment Training Advice Service (RETAS) and Leeds Refugee Forum – provide OISC-accredited advice. 100% Digital Leeds has been working with colleagues at Leeds Migration Partnership to better understand the digital inclusion implications of this new requirement.

Please inform anyone you come into contact with about the evisa deadline of the 31 December 2024.

Support is available. This Padlet board by Leeds Migration Partnership collates guidance and links to specific information.
