Message from Forward Leeds

In collaboration with Leeds Council, Forward Leeds put together some messages for a liver-related campaign in January.

We’d really appreciate your support to help reach a wide range of people!

It would be particularly good to help people understand the risks of drinking who don’t consider their rate of alcohol consumption as a problem but who consume high volumes of alcohol.

Leeds has one of the highest rates of alcohol-related liver disease in the country and we’d like to piggyback on the national Love Your Liver Awareness Month in January, to get some messages out that might encourage people to look after their livers.

January is Love Your Liver Awareness Month, a campaign that aims to raise awareness of liver disease risk factors and how to keep your liver healthy.

Within Leeds we have a Healthy Livers Leeds campaign that we are running in the same month and we would like your support to give it the widest reach possible.

The toolkit has links to short animations you can download and use on your social media, along with some messages that you can choose from. These should be suitable for whatever your platform of choice is: Facebook, X, Bluesky, Instagram, Threads and LinkedIn.

If you can share these in January, when people are already thinking about their alcohol-use post-Christmas/New Year we would really appreciate it.
