Leeds City Council: Standing Together Against Discrimination

Leeds City Council has recently launched a campaign taking a powerful stand against all forms of discrimination.

“What makes us different, makes us Leeds”

This high visibility campaign reaffirms the Council’s commitment to tackling all forms of discrimination and building inclusive, cohesive communities across Leeds.

Backed by the Equality Act 2010, grounded in real hate crime data, and shaped by voices in the community through the Stronger Leeds Strategy, this campaign puts inclusivity at the heart of what it means to belong in Leeds.

A message worth sharing

The campaign carries two key messages:

  • Stop discrimination in all its forms
  • What makes us different, makes us Leeds

Addressing all forms of discrimination such as racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, religious discrimination, antisemitism, anti-Muslim prejudice, ageism and ableism. It is a bold reminder that the diversity of our city is not a challenge to overcome, it’s a strength to be celebrated.

Where it will be seen
