Research Group: Experiences of Mental Health Inpatient Wards
Do you have experience of a mental health inpatient ward? The University of Leeds are researching how mental health staff impact patient safety in mental health wards and they need your insights. Findings from this study aims to make these wards safer for the future.
The Lived Experience Advisory Group (LEAG) will have 8-10 members and will meet 8 times throughout the project (ending December 2027). We’d like you to draw on your experience within mental health inpatient services to advise and consult on different aspects of the study.
The group begins on Monday, 17 November 2025.
Who can participate?
You must be:

Living in England
-
Aged 18+
-
A person with lived experience of using mental health inpatient services in the last 10 years
-
A carer of someone with these experiences
