Hat-trick of business support garnered to tackle suicide

A rapidly growing Community Interest Company is celebrating the support of three businesses to aid its mission to improve mental health and prevent suicides.

Leeds-based HelloHope, launched earlier this year by Ellie MacDonald, has announced support from tech-focused recruitment firm, Transition Partners, Greenborough Management and HelloHope’ sister company, MacComms.

Transition Partners has agreed to sponsor the venue for HelloHope’s upcoming Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course, providing a space to host the January training event.

Greenborough Management has confirmed a £2,000 donation to HelloHope, announcing the support as the project management firm’s annual Christmas gift to their “charity of choice” for 2024.

Russell Copley, director of Greenborough Management supported HelloHope’s founder and CEO Ellie to finalise her pitch on the Innovative Entrepreneurs programme which saw her win £5000 to kick start the new CIC.

MacComms PR agency is also donating a PR package worth over £1000 to business owners who provide HelloHope with donations.

The Christmas competition will see participants earn one entry for a £50 donation, with a £100 donation securing three entries.

One lucky winner will scoop the free PR strategy session and a customised PR plan in a random prize drawer announced at the start of 2025.

Ellie MacDonald, founder and CEO of HelloHope, said:

“I’m so grateful for the incredible business community rallying behind this mission. Our goal is to save lives, and businesses’ support is invaluable to help us achieve this.”

“Every contribution and prevention course booking brings us closer to creating real change. We invite others to join us, whether through sponsorships, partnerships, or participation in our initiatives, as we work together to bring hope and support to those who need it most.”

Russell director of Greenborough says:

“It was a pleasure to support Ellie as she was developing HelloHope through the Innovative Entrepreneurs programme. We’re proud to be part of such an important mission and look forward to seeing the impact HelloHope continues to make.”

HelloHope is an accredited member of the Mental Health First Aid England and National Suicide Prevention, Education and Training networks, committed to providing certified training and resources to support mental health awareness and suicide prevention.
