Digital Inclusion Innovation Fund

The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology has launched a new Digital Inclusion Innovation Fund to support projects that reduce digital exclusion and build an evidence base of what works.
Grants from £25,000 to £500,000 are available for a wide range of projects that aim to increase digital participation and tackle key barriers.

Charities
-
Research organisations
-
Consortiums (with an eligible lead applicant)
What can be funded?
The fund will support innovative and scalable interventions that address at least one of the following focus areas from the Digital Inclusion Action Plan:

Improving digital skills
-
Improving access to digital services
-
Tackling data and device poverty
-
Increasing confidence in using digital services
Projects may also explore wider themes, including:

Community engagement and cohesion
-
Access to financial services
-
Employment and job-seeking
-
Education, media literacy, and digital skills
-
Safety and security online
-
Health and wellbeing through digital tools
This is an opportunity to test new ideas or scale what already works. Whether it’s through tailored training, peer support, or digital health projects, this funding supports innovation and inclusion in equal measure.
Deadline to apply: Wednesday 10 September 2025
All activity must be completed by 31 March 2026
