16 October | WY Power of Communities VCSE Session

Date: Thursday 16 October
Time: 11 am – 12.30 pm
Location: Online

The West Yorkshire Power of Communities Programme Board (our VCSE Strategic Alliance), have
developed a series of sessions open to a wider set of VCSE representatives with direct experience or interest to shape and contribute to key strategic priorities within the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership.

Our next session will be led by Kim Shutler (VCSE Member of the NHS West Yorkshire ICB
Board) exploring the changes that are happening to the NHS West Yorkshire ICB and the wider health and care system.

The NHS West Yorkshire ICB must respond to national requirements to reduce its running costs by around half, and to re-focus its role as a Strategic Commissioner (for further information please see our organisational change updates and the Model ICB Blueprint published in May).

In this session we will:

  • Provide you with the latest information available on the proposed ICB changes that can be shared at this stage
  • Share key changes happening to the health and care system and the implications for the VCSE sector
  • Create the space to explore and discuss questions you would like to raise about the changes and its impact

Please remember that this session is open to any VCSE organisation in West Yorkshire working in
communities, so please do share with anyone who might be interested in the above and ask them to get in touch for a diary invite.

Email wyicb-wak.hpoc.program@nhs.net for a diary invite to the session.
