21 May | The voluntary sector, learning disabilities, and digital technology

During Spring/Summer 2025, the Centre for Health Promotion Research at Leeds Beckett University are leading a series of online and in-person discussions about the voluntary sector, learning disabilities and/or autism, and digital inequalities.

These discussions are for academics, community and civil society organisations, local and national government, and service users to discuss current issues, research and priorities for the future.

The first event is a webinar about ‘How can community organisations effectively use digital technology to delivery services to adults with learning disabilities and/or autism?’. It is on Wednesday 21 May 2025, 12:00-13:00. Kris Southby, Anne-Marie Bagnall, Danielle Varley, and Jo Trigwell will share the results of an NIHR School for Social Care study they have recently completed.

Please register to attend via their Eventbrite: The voluntary sector, learning disabilities, and digital technology | Eventbrite

The webinar will last no more than 60 minutes and will include:

  • summary of the study undertaken
  • study results
  • ‘6 top tips for community organisations’
  • brief Q&A with the research team
  • open discussion about research priorities and future plans
