Leeds VCSE Cost Pressures Autumn Survey – Closes Friday 3 October 2025

The latest edition of the Cost Pressures Survey is live – please complete it to share your organisation’s current challenges and financial position.

This is to help us understand and present an up to date picture of the sector in terms of sustainability. And the impact of cost pressures on your organisation, including risk relating to your staff, services, and organisation viability.

Who can complete it?

This survey is open to all third sector organisations in Leeds – you don’t need to be a Forum Central member. It is conducted with the support of Voluntary Action Leeds and Leeds Community Foundation.

We hope to gather data from a wide range of organisation types and sizes to get a picture which represents the diversity of the sector.

Why is it important?

Your help in responding to the survey shapes our understanding of how the continuing financial pressures and cost of living crisis are affecting third sector organisations in Leeds, so that we can advocate on your behalf. We use the results of these surveys to feed into the challenging conversations we’re having with our city partners, and to help inform decision making.

The results of previous surveys have also helped illustrate research in our State of the Sector 22/23 report.

About the survey

We estimate it will take you around 20 minutes to complete the survey. Please coordinate who will submit responses on behalf of your organisation and confer within your team to submit accurate answers – although we appreciate many answers are based on opinion and estimations.

The survey asks questions about:

  • Loss of staff,
  • Reduction of services,
  • Organisation viability,
  • Contributing factors, such as energy bill rises,
  • Populations most at risk,
  • Specific examples.

And gives us evidence about:

  • The impact of the situation,
  • The ways in which organisations are being effected,
  • Support needed for our third sector,
  • How we might shape and develop collective solutions
