Carers Week 9 – 15 June 2025: What’s on?

Carers Leeds has coordinated a great line of up of events and training.

Did you know there are over 61,500 unpaid carers in Leeds?

Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face, and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK.

It also helps people who don’t think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support. Carers Week is led by Carers UK with the support of a number of other charities.

This year the theme is ‘Caring About Equality highlighting the inequalities faced by unpaid carers, including a greater risk of poverty, social isolation, poor mental and physical health.

As Carers Week is coming up from 9 –15 June, Carers Leeds has planned a wide range of events and activities to support, celebrate, and empower unpaid carers across the city.
