21 February | Game On: Building Inclusive Communities Together

Gamblast is a 24 hour gaming marathon designed to inspire independence and raise funds for Special Effect and William Merritt Centre.

The William Merritt Centre will host an epic 24-hour gaming marathon starting at 10 am on the 21 February – 10 am on the 22 February to raise funds to help make technology accessible to everyone. This year, there is a focus on bringing together people who use or need accessible gaming equipment.

The William Merritt Centre is fully accessible, featuring a Changing Places toilet and accessible gaming equipment. Activities include:
  • A charity tea and cake sale from 3pm on Friday, February 21st
  • A raffle
  • Name the Monkey
  • Guess the Sweets in the Jar game
  • And, of course, lots of gaming!
If you’d like to make a difference but are unable to attend the event, you can still contribute by donating through their JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/page/william-merritt-gameblast25

Your donations will help gamers with disabilities access the games they love and the equipment they need to fully enjoy them.

If you want to participate in the most monumental fundraising gaming marathon and help make technology accessible for all, contact Maxine on mpickard@wmdlc.org to find out more.
