Hey Neighbour Fund – Closing Soon
We’re really pleased to share that the Hey Neighbour Fund is open again.
This small grants fund helps to spark and support community-led activities that bring people together, reduce loneliness, and strengthen local connections.
What’s it for?
The Hey Neighbour Fund is designed to support grassroots ideas – led by local people, for local people.
Whether it’s a shared lunch, a creative activity, a gardening project or something completely different, if it helps people connect and feel part of their community, it could be funded.
What’s available?
-
Up to £500 for informal ideas not linked to a constituted group
-
Up to £1,500 for small organisations (with an annual income under £50,000)
The application process is simple, supportive and flexible – and we’re here to help if you’d like a chat before applying.
Key dates
-
Apply by: Midnight on Friday 5 September 2025
-

Things to keep in mind
-
There are a few eligibility rules – for example, we can’t fund projects that promote religion or party politics.
-
If you’ve received a Hey Neighbour grant before, the panel will be looking for some form of development or learning – tell us what worked well and how this new idea builds on it.
-
There are some light-touch guidelines on how to promote and run your activity – we’re happy to support you with these.
