Inclusion Health National Call for Evidence: Data Availability Survey

As healthcare workers and researchers working with people facing exclusion, we know that data on their health and wellbeing often exists—but it may be held locally or collected in different ways, and it is rarely brought together nationally. This lack of joined-up data means that even though we see the realities on the ground every day, there’s still a gap in both the evidence that exists and what policymakers and funders understand.

The UCL EXPOHS Study is running a Data Availability Survey to understand what anonymised or aggregated data already exists, and where. This is part of a broader study to quantify how social exclusion impacts national health indicators like pre-mature mortality and life expectancy. They are aiming to build the most comprehensive dataset yet to improve these national estimates.

We’re asking the NHS, local authorities, academics, and VCSEs to take 5–10 minutes to complete the survey if they hold anonymised, aggregated data and/or unpublished reports on the health of inclusion health populations in England.

Please share this survey with anyone who works in this sector across a range of services.
