University of Leeds: Cancer Care and Treatment Research Study

The University of Leeds is conducting research to understand the differences in cancer care and treatment for people living in different areas.

This is an opportunity to join a patient advisory group and help develop and shape research looking at how fair and equal cancer care and treatment is. The research aims to better understand if all people receive the same cancer care and treatment or if it is different for those living in poorer areas or facing additional barriers.

We are looking for people who have had or are having treatment for cancer and/or their carers and especially those who may face additional barriers and challenges and may not have been involved in research before.

There will be different ways you can get involved including:

  • Attending twice yearly meetings either in person or online (Essential)
  • Opportunity to join the Study Steering Group
  • Attending a patient workshop
  • Being involved in co-designing public facing materials

We will cover out of pocket expenses such as travel and offer any support needed to get involved (e.g. interpreters, carer costs etc.) and offer payment in return for involvement.

This is an initial expression of interest, and we will chat to anyone interested further about this before signing them up.

If you are interested, or would like some further information or a chat, please contact Sharanjit Boughan
